Evening Reflection

Finally got the master control panel working end to end today — all three apps launching from a single start.bat. Had been wrestling with the child process exit codes for a bit, but it clicked this afternoon. The context API integration is something I'm really happy with. Auto-detecting location, weather, and pulling a live news headline at the time of writing makes each entry feel more grounded in the moment. Looking back at an entry from a year ago and seeing the exact temperature and the headline from that day is the kind of thing that actually makes journaling feel worthwhile. Spent the evening tidying up the export page. JSON and Markdown downloads both working cleanly. The automated email backup is next — want to get a weekly Sunday-morning digest set up before I consider this app "done enough to use".
